squirrels

Students in 2nd grade are learning about the special adaptations of squirrels. We have collected and stored acorns and learned about how these animals can be deceptive when it comes to hiding their food! We also observed a live flying squirrel and observed its amazing behaviors and features that help it find food and stay away from predators. The videos show both a pileated woodpecker and flying squirrel.
