Tropical Cyclones

It's hurricane season! As an extension to the science curriculum, students in fourth grade are tracking tropical cyclones, or hurricanes, this season. They are using NOAA and NASA sites to view current storm conditions in the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, view data from past hurricanes, and learn where and how they form. Next they will choose a hurricane from their birth year and track its course on a map. (Hurricane Katrina is pictured.)
